Joyce Ann Gannaway Childs, 1959-2021

Joyce Ann Gannaway Childs, 62, of Warren, died August 15, 2021. Born March 5, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Quinee and Orvelett Gannaway. She was a graduate of Banks High School. Joyce was a member of Holy Hill Church of God in Christ in Banks. She was a former employee of Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center, Robbins Flooring and a beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Dianne Burns, Clara Ann Brown, John Willie Turner Jr., Willis ‘Buck’ Gannaway, Carlie Gannaway, Leatrice Gannaway, Annie Mae Tatum, Myrtle Davis, Qunnie R. Gannaway and McKinley Gannaway.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Willie Lee Childs; children, Chris Gannaway, LaKita Childs, LaRita Childs, LaToya Stanley (Reginald); stepchildren, James Neal (Bretta), Earlwin Tatum; siblings, Carshella Allen (Charles), Rosie Jean Owens, Earnestine Ingram, Joshua Gannaway, Bettie Edwards (Roy), Nettie Davis (Bobby), Glenda Hines, Earnestine Harden (Fred); grandchildren, Dai’Jon McDaniel, Chris Gannaway Jr., Au’Kenyah Stanley, Amiah Bryant and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service was August 21st at Childs Cemetery in Banks with Supt. Joseph Mosley officiating. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
