Martha Dell Ragsdale, 1933-2021

Martha Dell Ragsdale age 88, of Banks, AR died Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at her home. She was born May 3rd, 1933 in Bradley County, AR, a daughter of the late Tom Gardner and Adell Vails Gardner. She was a graduate of the Harrell school system, where she was a leader on the basketball team, she enjoyed her gardening, was a stickler how her yard was mowed, she served as a waitress and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Spring Hill Freewill Baptist Church and the widow of Mr. J. C. Ragsdale, and also proceeding her in death was a daughter Kay Cox, her brothers, J. E. Gardner, Red Gardner and Lonnie Gardner and her great-great grandson Hunter Curry.

Survivors include her son, Lyn Grice, Banks, AR; daughters Sherry Funderburg and spouse Hugh, Banks, AR and Gail Harold, Banks, AR. Brothers Willie Gardner and Donnie Gardner both of Arkansas City, AR. 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were 2:00PM Sunday, September 5th at Childs Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Smith, officiant. Burial in Childs Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation was 1:30 till service time on Sunday at Childs Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jason Hollingsworth, Jesse Goodman, Justin Curry, Corey Grice, Robert Franklin and Benji Franklin. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Curry, Jeremy Grice, Jayden Funderburg, Butch Belin, Shane Mullins, Dr. Joe Hank Wharton and Johnny Peterson.
