Over 1,000 Warren homes and businesses are currently without power after an eighteen-wheeler truck damaged a light pole at Woodlawn and Pecan Streets in Warren Thursday afternoon, October 7, 2021.
According to the Warren Police Department, it appears the truck driver was on his way to Ouachita Hardwood Flooring, but his GPS unit carried him the wrong direction. Having taken a wrong turn, the truck damaged a light pole and did severe damage to the pole and the surrounding lines.
At last check around 3:48 p.m., 1,037 Entergy customers within the 71671 zip code were out of power. Early estimates indicate power may be restored sometime this evening.
