Billy Charles (Bill) Cargile age 82, of New Edinburg, AR passed away Tuesday, November 23rd 2021 at The Woods Health and Rehab Center in Monticello, AR. He was born Friday, August 25th, 1939 in Calhoun City, MS. a son of the late Homer Cargile and Fannie Chancellor Cargile. Also preceding him in death was his brother Donald “Duck” Cargile.
Bill was a retired construction superintendent. During his decades long construction career, he was employed by Brown & Root Construction, Glad Industries, Robinson Contracting Inc. all located in Crossett, AR and Burgess Sales and Service in Warren, AR. Bill managed numerous construction jobs all in the state of Arkansas and Mississippi.
Survivors include his best friend and sweetheart of 21 years, Patricia Ann Williams of Warren, AR, along with a family that loved him like a father, Kristel Ashcraft and husband Craig of Rye, AR, Ladonna Hammons and husband Joe, Warren, AR., Mike Williams and spouse Sandra of Warren, AR. Grandchildren Emily Ashcraft and Katie Ashcraft both of Rye, AR; Austin Hammons and Jaclyn Hammons both of Warren, AR, Chris Williams of Warren, AR. 1 great-grandson Jaxson Hammons and along with host of friends, former coworkers and distant family members.
Funeral services were 2:00 PM Sunday, November 28th 2021 at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Brian Ashcraft officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery near New Edinburg, AR by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Nick Mann, Craig Ashcraft, Steve Ashcraft, Mike Williams, Austin Hammons and Joe Hammons.
