Warren, Arkansas – Tuesday, December 21, 2021 Warren Branch Library hosted a Backpack Blessings giveaway for those in need. The backpacks were made possible by a collaborative effort with the Bradley County Ministerial Alliance and a grant that was received from the American Library Association’s Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries initiative. Each backpack contained a blanket, scarf, gloves, hat, socks, hygiene products, bible, flashlight, can opener, and personal Christmas card. There was also an assortment of clothing for adults and children, hygiene products, and laundry detergent. In addition to the Ministerial Alliance and the LTC grant, the program was also made possible by the support of our community and the following volunteers: Ricky Rauls, Leah St. John, Donna Hairston, Jan Smalling, Stormy Taylor, Mary Joyce Mullins, Pat Rauls, Gingy Cuthberson, Melissa Means, Dakota Laws, and Heather Rogers.
