STAR CITY, Ark. – A Rison woman was killed and another woman from Star City injured in a two vehicle accident in rural Lincoln County south of the Lincoln and Cleveland County Line Wednesday evening, February 16, 2022 according to the .
Around 7:10 p.m. 43-year old Kelly Leann Ashcraft of Rison was driving in a 2019 Honda Accord north on State Highway 530 when she crossed the center line towards oncoming traffic. The vehicle hit a 2020 Kia Sorento headed south driven by 31-year old Monica Renae Fresen of Star City.
Ashcraft was transferred to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased at 8:05 p.m.
Fresen was injured and taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
