WARREN, Ark. – A red convertible crashed at the railroad crossing on Martin Street in Warren Saturday night, March 26, 2022 at around 8:15 p.m, totaling the vehicle and damaging a railroad sign.

Warren Police Department officers say that preliminary information indicates the driver of the convertible was driving south on Martin Street when the accident occurred, and it appears the vehicle was on the wrong side of the road. However, the investigation is still underway to determine exactly what occurred.

According to the information Saline River Chronicle could gather, the driver was taken into custody on a DWI charge.

The entire front end of the vehicle was destroyed and crews from the Warren Fire Department were also on the scene assisting in the cleanup effort.

The Warren Police Department were on the scene directing traffic. Both northbound lanes were blocked, so traffic was being diverted around the accident. A tow truck was also on the scene removing the vehicle.
