Eddie Wayne Parnell Jr. announces run for Justice of the Peace District 9

I want to thank the Saline River Chronicle for allowing me to use this platform for announcement of my candidacy for Justice of the Peace District 9. I have dedicated my life to civil service and wish to use my experience concerning our county’s future. My military career taught me how to efficiently manage material, funds of over $8 million dollars and other resources such as vehicles and personnel. I am an Iraqi war veteran receiving several significant awards. Throughout my career, I managed up to 750 personnel, 130 vehicles and personnel, maintenance planning and execution. Throughout my career I have served in a number of critical and command positions. My military education includes the United States Command and General Staff college.

Prior to joining the military, I served on both the Warren and Bradley County Fire Departments.

As a board member of the National Guard Association Arkansas (NGAA) and, also while serving as President, I developed practices to efficiently prioritize, fund, and focus a successful collective effort.

I have deep Bradley County roots. I am a family man married to Stephanie Parnell, one stepson, a daughter-in-law and two extremely energetic grandchildren.

I currently serve as 1st Vice President of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Chaplain for American Legion.

As a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, I am the Youth Teacher for 12-18 year old’s. I am a licensed minister and have strong Christian beliefs.

I attend the Quorum Court meetings as much as possible and feel this has given me the opportunity to get a feel for the “pulse†of the county.

I have been a volunteer at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and quarterly donate to both Arkansas Children’s and St Jude’s.

I have also worked closely with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM).

I am a graduate of Warren High School and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

I would certainly appreciate your vote.
