WARREN, Ark. – The annual Warren Fire Department Firemen’s Ball was held Saturday at Warren Country Club.
The fundraiser helps raise money for equipment. A steak dinner was served and an auction conducted by Mike Nichols raised about $10,000 by itself. A DJ provided music.

Awards were highlighted by presentation of the Firefighter of the Year Award to Shaun Henderson. Officer of the Year was Capt. Eric Corker.
Capt. Jerry Ashcraft and new Fire Chief Chuck Moore presided over the awards. Corker also gave praise to former part-time Fire Chief Larry Hayes.
Ashcraft noted other achievements in the past year were a new ladder truck, a pumper truck which is on its way, a new e-dispatch system in place and a $10,000 donation by PotlatchDeltic towards the pumper truck.
“We are here to serve the community,” Moore said, while thanking the volunteers and Hayes. The Fire Department responded to 237 fires last year as well as providing extrication services throughout the county for vehicle accidents.
Service awards included: most responded to fires, Josh Belvedresi; most extrications, Capt. Clint Horn; 5 years of service, Drake Harton, Sam Plumb, Antonio Harding; 15 years of service, Lt. Jason Bradley; 20 years of service, Capt. Eric Corker, Capt. Clint Horn; 35 years of service, former Fire Chief Mike Ashcraft.
A drawing was held for a Savage .22-caliber rifle. Kathy Cameron won the gun.
