The Southeast Arkansas Regional Library announces an Employment & Career Training course beginning in May

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded $2,660,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to the Arkansas State Library (ASL); $2.4 million of the funds were set aside for direct aid to public libraries.

The Southeast Arkansas Regional Library in conjunction with instructors, Cathy Edmonds & Nelwyn Birch, will conduct a free, 1- day employment and career training class. This course will provide job & occupation assistance for those living within the counties of Bradley, Chicot, Desha, Drew, & Lincoln. The course will include career assessment, application procedures, resume building, & the interview process.

This 8-hour course is limited to 10 seats in our 6 primary branches in each county (McGehee, Lake Village, Dumas, Star City, Monticello, and Warren). Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
