Upwards of four to six inches of rain expected in South Arkansas Monday night into Tuesday

WARREN, Ark. – Multiple South Arkansas counties, including Bradley, Cleveland, Drew, Lincoln, and Calhoun, are currently under a flood watch from Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon as the potential for excessive rainfall is in the forecast.

According to the National Weather Service, most of Bradley, Cleveland, and Calhoun Counties could receive between three to four inches of rain Monday evening to Tuesday. Extreme Southern Bradley County could possibly see between four to six inches.

Most of the severe weather is currently forecast to take place in eastern Texas Monday, and in Louisiana and Mississippi Tuesday. Residents should still keep a close watch on the situation however.

Monday’s high will be near 75 degrees. The low Monday night will fall to 60. Monday night there could be wind gusts as high as 25 mph. The Chance of precipitation is 80%. Tuesday it rises to 90%.
