The first chance of the game came to the Lady Jacks. Striker Bailey Herring powered a shot at goal. Unfortunately it was right in the keeper’s path.
Arkadelphia threatened in the eighth minute, but Warren keeper Valerie Navarro made a wonderful foot save to keep things level at 0-0.
Five minutes later the breakthrough for the Lady Badgers came through a low shot beating Navarro to her left. Arkadelphia added another goal two minutes later to take a 2-0 lead. Their third came just minutes later.
In the thirty-ninth minute the Lady Jacks pulled a goal back. Herring won a free kick forty yards out. She took the kick, whipped in a dangerous ball in the six-yard box. Arkadelphia’s keeper mishandled it, and Tessa Andrus poked it home for Warren. The poacher’s effort cut the score to 3-1. That would be the halftime scoreline.
It was all Arkadelphia in the second half. They tacked on four more goals to secure a 7-1 win over Warren.
