Herring put the Lady Jacks ahead 1-0 in the fifteenth minute when her corner kick was misread by the Monticello keeper, eventually finding its way into the back of the net.
Angie Cortes added a second for Warren in the thirty-first. One-on-one with the keeper, Cortes tucked the ball into the right corner. The Lady Jacks led 2-0 at the midway point.
Ten minutes into the second half neither team was especially threatening. The status-quo continued for nine more minutes, when Herring once again put herself on the scoresheet. This time she blasted a shot top shelf to extend Warren’s lead to 3-0.
Herring completed the hat-trick not long afterwards with a low shot past the keeper.
Monticello pulled two late goals back in the final seven minutes. However the deficit was too much to overcome for the Lady Billies. Warren won by the final of 4-2.
