Monticello defeats Lady Jacks in Friday night softball

MONTICELLO, Ark. – After a rainout on Thursday, the Lady Jacks made the short drive across the Saline River to take on the Lady Billies of Monticello.

The Lady Billies defeated the Lady Jacks 9-2.

Monticello jumped out to an early lead and never relinquished.

For the Lady Jacks, Luci Woodard had a double and a single. Paige Byrd had two singles and a stolen base. Both Hannah and Heidi Taulbee each had a single. Anna Grace Bolland had two walks and a stolen base, as well as scored Warren’s first run. Alyssa Higgins had a walk and scored a run.

Alyssa Higgins went the distance on the mound. She struck out 7.

The Lady Jacks have 3 games next week, all on the road.
