Against the Lions, Kolby Pope pitched an outstanding game as did the Hamburg starter. Hamburg scored one run in the top of the first and Warren led off with a double by Caleb Barnes which scored one run
to tie the game. Neither team tallied in the second inning. Hamburg got one in the third and Warren scored three, including an inside the park homerun aided by several Hamburg errors. Creed Smith
added an RBI and the Lumberjacks took control 4-2.

Neither team scored a run in the fourth inning, but Hamburg broke loose in the top of the fifth with some offense of their own to score four. Again, neither team scored in the sixth and Hamburg
was held scoreless in the seventh. Warren went to bat in the bottom of the seventh trailing 6-4. The Jacks cut the lead to 6-5, and with one out Kolby Pope had a two run RBI hit to win the game 7-6. The Lumberjacks never gave up and accomplished a major and much needed win.
