Soccer Jacks get one of two games in before weather forces stoppage of play

HAMBURG, Ark. – Both the Warren Lumberjack Soccer Club and the Lady Jack Soccer Club traveled to Hamburg Tuesday evening to play the Hamburg Lions for the second time within a week, this time however in a non-conference matchup.

In game one, the Lady Jacks fell by the final of 3-0.

Warren gave up a penalty for handball in the twenty-third minute. In the second half, Hamburg got a second goal eight minutes into the half on a through ball. The third goal would occur late in the game on a Hamburg shot that hit the post and went in from close range.

The second game, which was to feature the Warren Lumberjacks vs. Hamburg, was called for weather seventeen minutes into the game with the score still 0-0. Warren had been in control of the game prior to the game being called for weather.

The next game is next Tuesday at home against Crossett, with the Lady Jacks starting at 5:00 p.m.
