Warren High needs community’s help in decorating for prom after everything was lost in Wednesday fire

WARREN, Ark. – According to Warren High School prom organizer Payton Sledge, all of the decorations for the 2022 prom were lost in last Wednesday’s fire in the Auxiliary Gym of the High School, and the prom committee is in need of donations to help with prom which is only a few weeks away.

Prom is set for April 22, 2022.

Sledge said in a social media post that “absolutely everything” was lost. “If you can donate or have anything we can borrow please let me know!”

Anyone who wishes to donate decorations or funds to help reestablish prom decor for the Under the City Lights themed prom can do so by bringing cash or a check to Payton. “I cannot personally receive money via PayPal or cashapp,” she says, but a cash or check can be given. You will receive a receipt for any monetary donation.

Sledge has also setup an Amazon wishlist for anyone who wishes to purchase items directly.

“Let’s give these kids a prom,” says sledge.
