Narcan training held for local officials

Jacob Smith, Section Chief for the Substance Misuse Branch at the Arkansas Department of Health conducted training Tuesday, May 17 on what Narcan is, how to recognize an opioid overdose and how to administer. This was a grant opportunity that provided Narcan kits to law enforcement and firemen in Bradley County.  The Warren Police Department, Hermitage Police Department, and Bradley County Sheriff’s Department were in attendance along with Fire Departments from Warren, Bradley County Rural, Banks, Hermitage, Pleasantville, Sumpter, and Farmville were present.  Also attending was Hermitage Mayor Tonya Kendrix, Warren Mayor Denisa Pennington and Banks Mayor Keeton Hudson.   This was a partnership of the local mayors to provide our law enforcement and firemen with necessary lifesaving Narcan kits for Bradley County.
