The GFWC Warren Woman’s Club held an Arbor Day Celebration event Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Warren City Park, planting three redbud trees.

The 2022 celebration is the 150th Anniversary of Arbor Day, which was started in 1872 in Nebraska.

This year’s event featured a welcome by Warren Woman’s Club President Diane Parnell, a proclamation by Warren Mayor Denisa Pennington, as well as the planting of the trees by James Wall and the Arkansas Department of Agriculture Forestry Division.

66 students from the First Baptist Christian School K-6 were also in attendance at the event, as well as several representatives of the local Bradley County Veterans organization.
