According to the Arkansas State Police, a 20-year-old Gurdon man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Hwy 167 north of Moro Creek in Cleveland County Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Around 4:35 a.m., 20-year old Madison Jackson Cary, of Gurdon, was driving southbound on U.S. Hwy 167 in a 2018 model GMC truck when he crossed the center line, striking a 2018 Hyundai head-on. Cary was killed.
Three people were occupying the northbound 2018 GMC. The driver, 57-year old Kimberly Vaughn, as well as passengers Ashlery Messer, 30, and Jonothan Messer, 35, were all injured. The three passengers injured were all of El Dorado.
The weather was reported to be clear and the road dry at the time of the accident.
