The Hermitage School Board conducted its monthly meeting June 13, 2022. Normal business was conducted which included approval of the previous minutes and the financial reports. Board officers were reelected for the new school year.
After going into executive session the board voted to approve the following personnel matters:
- Hired Madison Vines as a teacher approved resignation of Shaun Wilson
- Hired Tim Whitney and Lynie Rogers as cross country coaches
- Hired Kristie Bass as a paraprofessional
- Hired Brenna Leggett for agricultural
- Hired Cody Jones as high school social studies
- Hired Laura McKinney for 7-12 literacy
- Hired Dana Reep for 7-12 literacy
All votes were unanimous.
Dr. Tucker provided the Superintendent’s report which included an update on the American Rescue Plan.
The board approved the following items:
- Price change for engineering work for heating and air system
- Contract with Norman Hill Enterprise, LLC for financial services
- Resolution for carry over funds to be transferred
- ASBA created school board policies
- School Audit
- Awarded mild bid to Hiland Dairy
- Awarded bread bid to Flowers Baking
All votes were unanimous.
