A diabetes class led by Jane Pelkki, MPH, Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, Diabetes Care & Education Specialist & Diabetes Program Coordinator with DePaul Community Health Centers, was held on June 21 at the Warren Branch Library. Participants learned a lot about the many facts and myths about diabetes. Everyone went home with a large selection of door prizes. Part two of this class will be held on Tuesday, June 28 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend even if you did not come to part one of the course.
