Library summer reading group learns about “Ocean Oddities”

Mrs Christy’s summer reading group, ages three to six, went on a trip to the deep, deep, deep bottom of the ocean recently. They danced along to the “Under the Sea” song, and afterwards Mrs. Christy read “Glow: Animals with Night Lights” and learned a new word: bioluminescence. Participants watched a cool video about the “10 Most Bizarre Deep Sea Creatures.” According to the staff, the kids were so brave. No one got scared. Lots of awesome anglerfish crafts were created and went home with their owners.
Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to next week’s program, OCEAN POLLUTION-SEA TURTLES & JELLYFISH STORY!!
