Eight of 15 members were needed to conduct business. Present were board members Terrie White, James Wells, Jane Harris, Tim Kessler, JeNelle Lipton and Susan Saunders.

A discussion was held about an upcoming membership drive. Marsha’s Pastime of Friends, which had a ribbon-cutting grand opening on Friday, has indicated they will join the Chamber. Also expected to join is the Trading Post pawn shop under new ownership of Micki King, with a ribbon-cutting set for 10 a.m. Thursday.

Another Chamber member is Warren Lions Club. Zone 1 Chairman Tim Kessler mentioned that the club has grown from four to 12 members. District 7-N Gov. Bill Johnson will induct the new members and club officers at Molly’s Diner at noon Wednesday. New members are always welcome to join, as the club meets on the second Wednesday of each month.

A community event which was held at Warren City Park on Sunday was a Vacation Bible School kickoff by Immanuel Baptist Church. Hot dogs and hamburgers were served and bouncey houses were available.

A map project is proceeding with ads being sold for a city and county map.

Executive Director Terrie White said many compliments were received on how well the Pink Tomato Festival was organized.
