Warren Mayor Denisa Pennington announced in a statement released to Saline River Chronicle Wednesday morning at 11:15 a.m. that she will not be seeking re-election. Below is her official statement:
I am officially making known my decision not to seek re-election for Mayor of Warren.
It has indeed been an honor to serve my community over the last four years as Mayor of this great city.
My decision has been guided by both personal and professional reasons. I have always tried to give my all to any efforts to make a future for our children and grandchildren. I have reached the chapter in my life that requires more time and commitment to family and personal goals.
Thank you for your support and encouragement during my term as Mayor. I will continue to serve my city in any way possible.
