Charles R. Goins

Charles R. Goins, was born on the Saline River and died on the Saline River at age 74, on Wednesday August 24, 2022, and is face-to-face with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents Troy and Eurcell Goins, his brothers James, Troy, and Billy.

He leaves behind his lovely companion Margaret Simpson, daughter Debbie Key (Rick) (Hot Springs, AR), one grandson Jace James Robbins, nieces Lee Ann Goins, Debbie Goins and lots of wonderful friends.

Charles was an avid fisherman of the Saline River and a Superb Hunter of the river bottoms. He loved to grow large gardens just to give away the vegetables.

He loved to ride up and down the river with his dog Hank and hang out with his friends on what he called the nudist beach. He was quite a character. Charles will forever be a legend of the Goings’ landing “goat neck” where his family homesteaded many many years ago.  He was one of a kind and will be missed dearly.

Graveside services with military honors was held  2:00 PM Saturday, August 27th 2022 at Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
