A 45-year-old man with connections to the Rison area, Christopher David Reed, pled guilty August 15, 2022 in Bradley County Circuit Court to a single charge of felony theft of property, a class C felony.
According to the original criminal filing information from June 9 of last year, Reed was alleged to have illegally taken “or exercised unauthorized control over or made an unauthorized transfer of an interest in” property valued at over $5,000 with the intent of “depriving” it from the owner, Misty Clines-Jackson. The crime took place in March of 2021.
The charge was a class C felony due to Reed being an habitual offender.
Reed pled guilty August 15 and was sentenced by Judge Crews Puryear. He was given 36 months in prison through the Arkansas Department of Corrections, 48 months SIS.
Court fees in the amount of $540 were ordered to be paid by Reed in installments of $100 per month starting 60 days after his release from the ADC.
