Area fire crews from both the Bradley County Rural Fire Department, the City of Warren, as well as the Arkansas Highway Department were busy Monday afternoon fighting numerous small grass fires north of Warren along Highway 63. While the cause of the fires is unknown, they were all near the roadway and in the ditches, suggesting they may have been caused by sparks thrown from a passing vehicle. As of 4:42 p.m. CST Monday crews had each fire under control.
