Members of the Hermitage School Board met October 17 and conducted regular monthly business. The board approved the financial reports and heard reports from Mistie McGhee, Rosalydn Ellis, and Dr. Tucker.
The board voted to join a class action lawsuit against JUUL, a vaping company and heard reports on the American Rescue Plan. The board then approved an insurance policy with ASBA for accidental death and dismemberment benefits for bus trips.
The SPED budget for 2022-2023 was approved.
Next the board approved changes and updates for the signatures for the lockbox at First State Bank and the signature cards for the Warren Bank Accounts. Also, the board approved bids for the repair of the fire alarm at the High School.
After returning from an executive session, the board voted to accept the resignations of Katelyn Hankins and Travis Stanley. They then voted to hire Robyn Sample as an aide and Sandy Doss as secretary to Superintendent Dr. Tucker.
