Janett Lanette Mayo Young, age 72, of Crossett, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was born Wednesday, December 7, 1949 in Jones, Louisiana to D.R. and Zelma Lee Roy Mayo. She was raised by Doc and Gladys Crenshaw Mayo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Young, and her sister, Betty Gail Mayo. Janett was secretary of Wells Pugh Gin in Wilmot, AR and GPS Gin Portland for 35 years of service, a Baptist and a 1967 graduate of Bonita High School, Bonita, Louisiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Karon Marks (Jeff) of Crossett; grandchildren, Hunter Stafford, Drake Jones both of Crossett, AR, and Rebecca Rainbolt (Jeremy) of Bastrop, Louisiana, her great grandchildren Brady and Kolton Stafford both of Crossett, Presleigh Kathleen “PK” Rainbolt and Skylar Brooke Rainbolt both of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Bonnie Mayo Kinney of Bastrop, Louisiana, Brenda Mayo Frisby of Bastrop, Louisiana, Geraldine Mayo Goodson (Mark) of Bonita Louisiana, Sandra Flemming Schnieder (Greg) of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Randy Mayo (Nancy) of Oak Grove, Louisiana; Alvis Mayo, Bastrop, Louisiana, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside service was 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Wilmot Cemetery.
