Angie Young Festival of Tables held at St. James AME Church

The annual Angie Young’s Festival of Tables was held Saturday at St. James AME Church.

Sabrena Newsom served as chairwoman of the event. The minister of ceremony was Dexter Campbell.

Prayer was offered by Everett Wallace. Scripture was read by Semaya Lewis.

The welcome was given by Chanel Hooper. The occasion was presented by Yolanda Smith.

The Rev. Kurbe Newsom, pastor, gave the blessing of the meal. Awards were presented for certain tables.

Janice Reddick was the winner of a silent auction item of a jersey signed by Warren native Treylon Burks, who now plays for the Tennessee Titans NFL team.

Besides Newsom, other church leaders are Presiding Bishop Michael L. Mitchell and the Rev. Dr. Angela Brewster, presiding elder of the Monticello/Warren District.

Rachel White was the highest contributor.
