Community members meet the 2023 Lumberjack and Lady Jack Soccer teams at supper event held Thursday evening

WARREN, Ark. – A preseason meet, greet, and eat event sponsored by Warren Bank and Trust was held for community members to meet the Warren Lumberjack and Lady Jack Soccer Clubs ahead of the start of the 2023 season Thursday evening, February 23 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church(Iglesia Catolica San Lucas) with a meal provided by Que Lindo Michoacan of Warren.

The Warren Lumberjack Soccer team was introduced. This year’s squad may be the biggest roster to-date, with nearly 35 players available. Not all were able to attend Thursday’s event. The Lumberjacks are led by new Head Coach Shaun Wilson.

The Lady Jack Soccer Club was also introduced. Fourteen Lady Jacks were in attendance at the event. They are led by new Head Coach Julie Roberts.

Representatives of the event’s sponsor, Warren Bank were on hand helping serve the meal. Three of those representatives included Nora Gonzalez, Brandy Coats-Wolfe, and Marisol Allred.

A meal provided and cooked by Que Lindo Michoacan included a big spread of freshly made quesabirrias and banana pudding.

The event was held in the parish hall of St. Luke’s Catholic Church(Iglesia Catolica San Lucas).

The 2023 Lumberjack and Lady Jack Soccer season kicks off Monday, February 27 at 5:00 p.m. as the teams travel to Lake Village to take on the Lakeside High Beavers. The Lady Jacks kickoff at 5:00 p.m. with the Lumberjack’s match to follow immediately afterwards.
