Howard Joseph Williams “Joe,” 1946-2023

Howard Joseph Williams “Joe”, age 76 of McGehee, AR passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born on December 21, 1946, in Warren, AR to the late Carl Williams and Retha Jones Williams.

Joe was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of Desha lodge #643 in McGehee, AR. He served in the US Navy, retired as an electrician from the Corp of Engineers, and was a lifetime volunteer fireman for the Lake Hamilton and McGehee fire departments.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Williams and sister, Joan Susie Jennings.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Thornell Williams of McGehee, AR; sons, Boo Williams and wife Ashleigh of Conway, AR and Kevin Williams and wife Tasha of Norman, OK; daughter, Kem Haddock and husband Marcus of McGehee, AR; sister, Francis Jean Caldwell of Conway, AR; half-brother, Chuck Williams of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren, Merritt Haddock, Easton Haddock, Kole Williams, Kade Williams, Jana Thomas, Leah Payne, Raven Peterson and Erin Williams and three great-grandchildren, Cameron Montoya, Ruby Peterson and Lucy Peterson.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.

Graveside service with Masonic Rites was 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2023, at Pattsville Cemetery. Burial was in Pattsville Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
