WARREN, Ark. – Entering the final week of the regular season Tuesday night the Warren Lumberjack basketball team ran into Conference leaders Watson Chapel and fell by the final of 73-47 at Lumberjack Arena in Warren.
An outstanding first quarter of action saw Warren take a 9-6 lead over Chapel with at the 3:00 minute mark. Jordyn Ingram drained a three to give the Jacks an early advantage. Watson Chapel would come back to take a 15-14 lead before the end of the quarter.

Chapel’s lead grew to 20-16 near the 3:40 mark of the second quarter. Warren’s Antonio Jordan brought the Jacks to within one again just seconds later with his second three of the ballgame. He would be the only Jack to get on the board though in the second period. The Jacks would suffer a five-point second quarter and go into the halftime break down nine points at 28-19.
Into the third Warren put together some impressive defense. Neon’dre Thomas and Jalin Lee had two back-to-back steals hear the midway point of the period. However the Watson Chapel lead grew to 48-33 before the start of the final quarter.
In the fourth Warren found more success on the scoresheet. Four different Jacks got on the board in the last eight minutes. Warren scored 14 in the fourth, but eventually lost 73-47 to the 8-4A Conference leaders Watson Chapel.
Antonio Jordan had a big night with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Jordyn Ingram followed Jordan with 11 points. Ingram also posted six rebounds.
Neon’dre Thomas scored seven, Dontavion Bluford five, and Jayden Ridgell four.
Ridgell and Thomas each also had five rebounds on the night.
Warren moves to 9-8 overall and 7-5 in the 8-4A with two games remaining in the regular season. They will be back in action Thursday at they host Little Rock Mills, the second place team in the Conference. That game tips off immediately following the Lady Jacks game which begins at 5:30 p.m.
