James Albert Meadows ‘Pickle’, 1953-2023

James Albert Meadows ‘Pickle’, 69, of Warren, passed away February 8, 2023. Born February 11, 1953, he was a son of Oliver Wendell Meadows and Sula Mae York.  

As a young man, James loved and excelled in baseball. He also loved to hunt and took pride in the many trophies from his hunting trips.

James lived many years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was employed with Ryder Trucks until he returned to Arkansas. He was employed with the Arkansas Department of Transportation for twenty-three years

until he retired in 2006.

James developed and maintained loving relationships with his many nieces and nephews and later, his stepdaughter, Titeana Walker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Wendell Meadows, mother, Sula Mae York and his brother, Robert Earl Jones.

He is survived by his sister, Margarett Ann Ross of Pine Bluff and his brother, Ronnie Franklin of Warren.

Funeral service was held February 18 at West Central Church of Christ in Warren with Rev Jamie Rochell officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Warren. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
