CONWAY, Ark. – A difficult road match against the Conway Wampus Cats from the 6A Central ended in the first loss of the season for the Warren Lady Jacks Tuesday evening, March 7, 2023 at McConnell Stadium in Conway.
Warren’s Ladies got off to a rough and tumble start on the night. Two quick back-to-back goals put them in a tough spot inside two minutes. The Lady Jack midfield struggled to maintain possession, but credit to Conway. The Cats moved the ball fast with some one-two touches that Warren had trouble coping with.

Warren goalie Valeria Navarro made a fantastic low-leg-block save in the fifteenth minute. However, Conway poured on the pressure. They were especially dangerous down the right wing and with through-balls around that same side. Everlyn Torres did the hard work of trying to cut those passes out from the midfield, a task in which she found some success.
The Wampus Cats exploded offensively around the twenty-minute mark, however. They would secure the sportsmanship rule before the half and go on to win by the final of 11-0.
Warren striker Jennifer Carpenter was named the Que Lindo Michoacan Lady of the Match for her play.
The Lady Jacks move to 1-1 on the season, but have yet to play a conference match. They will next get set to take on Hope Friday evening, March 10 at 5:00 p.m. at the one-and-only Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium in Warren.
