WARREN, Ark. – An 18-wheeler crashed Tuesday afternoon, March 21, 2023 on Smith road in Warren.
The Warren Police Department, Bradley County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the Warren Fire Department and Rescue Truck were on the scene of the early afternoon cargo-truck accident that took place just northeast of Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium on Smith Road. While no cause can be provided at this time, the 18-wheeler appeared to have run off the road on the south side, ending up in a yard of a Smith Road residency.
Multiple light poles were torn down. Entergy representatives were on the scene around 2:00 p.m. accessing the situation.
The vehicle itself was shown to be a Carpenter’s Produce truck out of Grady, Arkansas. The truck sustained significant damage. Saline River Chronicle was unable to verify the driver’s condition, but the cab looked to not have sustained much damage. We will follow up with law enforcement personnel once their work is complete.
The wreck took place near 115 Smith Road in Warren. No part of the home structure appeared to have been damaged. However, the yard did suffer damage.
Authorities were working as late as 2:45 p.m. to remove the big-rig from the yard.
The accident looked terrible but whoever
was involved I certainly hope there was no
lost of life. God is good 👍
