The Bradley County 4-H Awards Dinner was held recently at Immanuel Baptist Church in Warren, celebrating the hard work and achievements of the county’s 4-H members and volunteers. Among the highlights of the evening were the naming of Asher Weaver as the 4-H Member of the Year and Mindy Castleberry as the 4-H Volunteer of the Year.

The awards were presented by Bradley County Extension Agent Staff Chair John Gavin and Michelle Carter of the Bradley County Extension Service. In addition to Weaver and Castleberry, several other members were recognized for their outstanding achievements at the county, district, and state levels. The Bradley County 4-H program provides young people with opportunities to develop life skills and build character through hands-on learning experiences. Through various activities and events, including livestock shows, gardening, leadership development, and community service, 4-H members gain valuable skills that prepare them for success in their personal and professional lives.
The 4-H program relies heavily on volunteers like Castleberry, who generously give their time and expertise to help guide and mentor the youth in the community. The program is always looking for new volunteers to help support its mission of developing young leaders.
Overall, the Bradley County 4-H Awards Dinner was a tremendous success, and the honorees were truly deserving of their recognition. As the program continues to grow and evolve, it is clear that the youth in Bradley County will continue to benefit from the valuable experiences and opportunities provided by 4-H.
