SRC had a situation arise Friday which required a slight change to our comment policy. Negative comments on any obituaries will be deleted. Deceased individuals are unable to address attacks upon their character, and while people may feel a certain way and say what they wish about an individual in public, we will not allow it on Saline River Chronicle. As the old saying goes, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
Our policy in regards to other sections of the site remain the same as in the past. Freedom of speech is welcomed throughout the site, but to protect those who cannot address attacks on their character, as well as to provide relief during the grieving process for the families of those who have passed on, negative comments are not allowed on any obituary.
Below is our policy for other pages, as well as our facebook page.
Please be advised that while we believe in and allow freedom of speech, we do not allow the posting of foul language. Comments which contain vulgar words will be deleted.
We are honored that the communities we cover take an active interest in participation of discussions of local topics through our site and our social media channels. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to our comment policies.
