Jerry Wayne Davis

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery in Jennings, LA for Jerry Wayne Davis, 74, who died Friday, April 21, 2023, at 7:53 a.m. at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home.

Jerry was a native and longtime resident of Warren, Arkansas before his move to the Southwest Veterans Home in Jennings. Jerry graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1966.  He served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Navy. He retired from Lion Oil after thirty years of service. 

Fr. Mikel Polson, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services.  Graveside military honors will be provided by the US Navy. 

Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Kelly Davis; two daughters, Kasey Davis, Kelly Davis Brown, and her husband Chet; four grandchildren, John Peyton Brown, Joseph Brown, Matthew Brown, and Claire Clouette; three brothers, Randy Davis and his wife Ann, Ricky Davis and his wife Lorrie, and Kenny Dean Davis. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubert and Dorothy Taylor Davis; his in-laws, William Kenneth Kelly and Claravene McDougald Kelly.

Jerry was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Warren, Arkansas, a member of the Boilermakers local number 69 and the Grice Deer Club.  Jerrys favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting, and camping with his grandchildren. 

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home, 1610 Evangeline Hwy, Jennings, LA 70546 or Bradley County Veterans Museum, 210 N Main St, Warren, AR 71671.
