Warren Choir performs National Anthem at Thursday Travelers game

LITTLE ROCK – Despite the rain showers that caused a delayed start to Thursday night’s Arkansas Travelers game, students from the Warren Choral Department took to the field to perform the National Anthem at Dickey-Stephens Park.

A total of 38 singers from the WMS Intermediate Choir and WHS Advanced Choir made the trip to North Little Rock to experience a minor league baseball game. The students, most of whom had never been to a Minor League or Major League Baseball game before, were thrilled to be a part of the pre-game festivities.

According to a quick poll of the students, only two of them had ever been to a professional baseball game before. The opportunity to perform at a stadium as well-known as Dickey-Stephens Park was an incredible experience for the young choir members.

The Warren Choral Department has had a packed year of new opportunities, and this performance at the Travelers game was just one of many highlights. The choir has been pushing its boundaries and experiencing new things, and the students’ trip to North Little Rock was a perfect example of that.
