  1. people talk about how bad Warren is well move! Shop Warren when possible maybe other stores want close. No most people worry about how much stuff cost and your spending twice as much at other stores on stuff that you don”t need but you think your saving.Lol. People keep moving and shopping other places will make it real hard for the few left to pay for this new gym and school. Enjoy while you can !

  2. There are a lot of assumptions in this one really horrific judgmental paragraph you opinionated.

People shop where they can and where it’s affordable. What they buy is not information you have and neither is what they consider a need.

Businesses in Warren are closing down and Warren is failing economically. People can’t move out of the town. We are one family that would move if we could – but wishing they would (like you did) doesn’t help either.

  3. You clearly have a problem with Eudora. Stop it. If people could make businesses and other people stay in a town they would. Things change. Businesses close. People move. Cato’s isn’t leaving because it’s “Warren”. It’s a corporate decision.

  4. Horrific! wow struck a nerve. It’s true I hear it all the time, went to walmart for 5 items and came out with 20. So I guess we really saved. I buy every item I can in Warren and I never check prices the reason I don’t check is because I want to support local businesses and I don’t want to travel to get the item. Enough stuff has left support what we have or we will be traveling for everything.

  5. Yeah and Thlumberjack has a good point….all you see here is Businesses closing left and right. Ma’am I have watched this all play out for 49 years and nothing good has come of it….Yeah It was a Corporate decision….based on the location WARREN. Ain’t Main Street just Booming now? A PILE OF RUBBISH ON THE SOUTH END THAT DECORATES THE STREET, Which was once a Business, and a Vacant lot on the North End where a Business once Stood. A Church which is being investigated for Safety and Now A Long Standing Business Being Closed as part of a Corporate decision. What ya bet that building will sit vacant, get neglected and eventually come under Safety Scrutiny also.

  6. Roll Tide, in case you didn’t understand what B.P. said I am going to say it again…Where we buy,and what we buy is none of your business. Some of us are retired on fixed income, Myself included, Due to the Demolition of The Sandwich Shop, so we DO LOOK AT PRICES AND AM PROUD TO SAY JUST MONDAY WENT TO WALMART TO SPEND OUR RETIREMENT AND SS CHECKS. AND we would Love to move but already own two homes in Bradley County although it isn’t for you to be telling people to move….everyone has a story as to why they’re here whether they like it or not

  7. Jennifer Pennington the powers that be aren’t gonna let Walmart, Costco or any other big companies in because they might take away from locally owned businesses….cough…cough…cough🙈

  8. Keep supporting Monticello, Warren. Your identity is slowing dying and it makes me sick as a native Warrenite. Sad when Monticello, Arkansas is the go to place in SE Arkansas.

  9. I’m totally disappointed at what Warren, Arkansas has become. Our politicians are in name ONLY. Warren is an embarrassment! ! !

  10. Did you say move??? Well we did!!!! Back in 2015 , when my neighborhood went to trash, and NOTHING was ever done to make the other trashy, junky, cluttery homeowners clean their property!! And yes , we had complained MULTIPLE times… We give up , sold our 3 properties and left the county!!! I avoid coming to Warren if at all possible and shop 100% at Monticello!!!! Good riddance to Warren!!

  11. I concur with my classmate, Ivory. Warren needs at least one big business to attract shoppers from the surrounding small communities and rural areas. It surely would be an asset to our city. Then people wouldn’t have to travel to Monticello to snatch a few items a Walmart.
