WARREN, Ark. – A single-vehicle accident in Cleveland County took the life of 21-year-old Dakarius Davis of Warren and left his two passengers injured on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:05 p.m. on U.S. 63 near Rodgers Road, approximately eight miles south of Pine Bluff.
According to an initial report by the Arkansas State Police, Davis was traveling southbound on the highway when he unexpectedly lost control of the vehicle. The car veered across the center line, ultimately colliding with a tree after going airborne. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn before finally coming to a rest on the east roadside.
Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, and Davis’ passengers, 18-year-old Kailee Curry and 21-year-old Akia Kelly, both residents of Warren, were immediately transported to the nearby Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff for medical treatment.
Authorities noted that the weather conditions at the time of the accident were cloudy, and the road itself was dry.
