The following are the minutes from the June 20, 2023 Re-New-ing Edinburg meeting:
Martha Tolano, President, called the meeting to order and minutes of the May meeting were passed out to those in attendance and also previously emailed. Motion was made by Linda Hornaday, seconded by Brenda Triplett, to accept the minutes. Motion passed.
Linda Hornaday, treasurer, passed out the financial statement. With no corrections or questions, it will be filed for audit.
Under old business, Roger McClellan currently has eleven brick orders for the Veterans park and an order will be processed shortly with bricks installed in the fall when the weather is cooler.
The Great American Cleanup wrap-up form has been filed with the state. Approximately 20 people participated in the event and approximately 15 miles of roadways were cleaned. Flower boxes throughout New Edinburg were filled with lantana, caladiums and ferns and several limbs that fell during the ice storm were removed from the downtown area.

Game night will be held on June 23
at 6:00 p.m. at the community center. Participants are asked to bring salads, desserts, and their favorite game or puzzle.
The All-School Reunion sponsored by Re-New-ing Edinburg will be held July 8, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. A discussion was held concerning parking, serving, and having a set up day on Friday, July 7th. FBT Bank has donated $125.00 toward the rental of the community center for the event.
The Back-to-School event is scheduled for August 5 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the New Edinburg Community Center. Jessica Barnett will contact the “blowup” company concerning a rental of two …
Re-New-ing Edinburg participated in EMT week along with other Kickstart Cleveland County groups by delivering sandwiches, chips, and banana bread to the ambulance headquarters in Rison on Saturday, May 27.
With no new business, Larry Waldrop, seconded by Don Triplett, to adjourn. Motion passed. Next meeting will be July 18th.
