Swift response by Banks Fire Department and log truck driver prevents forest fire

BANKS, Ark. – In a commendable display of quick thinking and teamwork, the Banks Volunteer Fire Department, along with the assistance of a vigilant driver, successfully contained a potentially catastrophic log trailer fire that broke out yesterday, just east of Banks on Highway 278. Thanks to their swift response, the fire was prevented from spreading into the nearby woods, averting a potential environmental disaster.

The incident, which unfolded approximately one mile east of Banks, saw seven dedicated Banks Firefighters rushed to the scene. Their efforts were further bolstered by the timely arrival of two Bradley County Sheriff’s Office deputies, who provided invaluable support in controlling the situation.
