Unexplained death and abandoned vehicle spark investigation in Warren

The following is a press release from the Warren Police Department:

On 15 August 2023, at approximately 5:12a.m., The Warren Police Department responded to a call of a possible deceased male in a parking lot on the corner of Gannaway & Church Street. Upon arrival Officers found the body of a white male who was later identified as Eli Perrin, 21, of Arkadelphia, AR. Shortly after arriving on the scene Officers discovered that Perrin’s vehicle was involved in a one vehicle accident on Hwy 8 North approximately 3 miles outside the city limits. The accident had been investigated a few hours earlier by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department. The investigating Deputy Sheriff stated that upon his arrival at the accident the vehicle which was registered to Perrin appeared to have veered off the highway and struck a light pole. The vehicle appeared to have been abandoned due to the fact that there was no driver or anyone else on the scene. Perrin’s body was processed and will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for and autopsy to determine a cause of death. According to Investigators the incident is being investigated as a crime pending results from the State Medical Examiner’s Office. The Warren Police Department and the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is asking if anyone has any information regarding either incident to contact them at 870-226-3703 or 870-226-3491 ext. 6
