Laron Hayes, Sr., “Pea Gravelâ€, age 69 of Bearden, AR passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway, AR. He was born on December 16, 1953 in Warren, AR to the late Leon Hayes and Annie Lee Johnson Hayes Thomason. Laron was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church, he was a Mason since 1975 and became a Master Mason in 1976. He was a member of Warren Fire Department from 1984 until 2008 where he retired as Captain. He loved his race cars and that’s where he got his nickname from. He was a great man with a strong will to live.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by brother, Ralph Hayes and sisters, Annie Faye Hale and Leshia Sowheaver.
Survivors include his wife, Yvetta Morris Hayes; sons, Larry Hayes and wife Kimberly and Laron Hayes, Jr.; grandchildren, Wesley Cole Wolfe, Brodey Allen Hayes and Jase Hayes and sisters, Clara Palmer and Lois Jenkins.
Funeral service was held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Rauls officiating. Burial was in Enon Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home with Masonic Rites.
