Lumberjack Tennis impresses at Crossett; Rawls named SRC Player of the Day

CROSSETT, Ark. – Warren Lumberjack Tennis traveled to Crossett on Monday afternoon, September 18, 2023, delivering a series of strong performances in both singles and doubles matches.

The girls’ singles category was particularly impressive, with Presley Reep, Ava Denton, and Jaycee Courtney securing victories. Presley Reep started the winning streak with a solid 6-0 victory, followed by Ava Denton with a 6-1 win and Jaycee Courtney with a 6-3 triumph.

The doubles matches were equally exciting, as the pairs of Victoria O’neill/Anna Arroyo and Alley Vance/Blayne Jarvis showcased their skills. Victoria O’neill and Anna Arroyo secured a 6-2 win, while Alley Vance and Blayne Jarvis fought hard to claim a 6-4 victory.

In the boys’ singles category, Braylen Watson maintained the momentum with a convincing 6-1 win. However, it was David Rawls who stole the spotlight with a hard-fought 6-4 victory. Rawls’ consistent volleys and strong serving were instrumental in securing his win, earning him the title of Saline River Chronicle Player of the Day.
