The Warren Lumberjack Tennis Team were able to fit in another match day on Thursday, September 14, 2023, as they faced off against the Drew Central Pirates. The match showcased outstanding performances from both the singles and doubles divisions.

The girls’ singles category proved to be a strong point for the Lumberjack Tennis Team, with two impressive victories. Presley Reep set the tone with a dominant 6-1 victory, showcasing her finesse and control on the court. Following suit was Ava Denton, who secured a solid 6-3 win, further solidifying the team’s lead. Anna Grace Mitchell contributed to the team’s success with a hard-fought 7-5 win.
The doubles division was where the Warren Lumberjacks truly shone, securing four resounding victories. Anna Arroyo and Victoria O’Neill dominated their opponents with a convincing 6-1 win, setting the stage for their team’s success. The dynamic duo of Blayne Jarvis and Ava Denton continued their winning streak, triumphing with a 6-4 score. Ryann Turner and J’ciana Strong displayed remarkable teamwork in their 6-2 victory, while Victoria O’Neill and Anna Arroyo rounded out the doubles category with another impressive 6-1 win.
The boys’ doubles category saw Braylen Watson and Caper Groves sealing the deal for the Lumberjacks with a dominant 6-0 victory, adding another notch to their team’s impressive overall performance.
In recognition of her stellar contributions, the Saline River Chronicle Player of the Day honor was bestowed upon Blayne Jarvis. Jarvis has been on fire, securing victories in doubles matches for two consecutive tennis meets. “She is a first year player who is getting better everyday,” said Coach Micah Richey in his postgame comments.
