WARREN, Ark. – The Bradley County chapter of the Arkansas Log a Load for Kids program invite the public to their catfish dinner & auction fundraiser at Immanuel Baptist Church in Warren on Saturday, October 21 to help raise funds for Arkansas Children’s Heart Institute.
Since 1993, Arkansas Log a Load for Kids has raised money for various endowment projects at Arkansas Children’s, which include support for Angel One Transport and endowed chairs in Congenital Heart Disorders and Emergency Medicine/Trauma. During that time, the group has raised over $10 million with the help of generous donations from communities around the state. This year, four chapters consisting of volunteers from the forestry sector have held events to raise funds for the Heart Institute.
The Bradley County chapter of the program continues their 2023 fundraising with a catfish dinner and auction. Doors to the event open at 5:00 p.m. with a log auction to follow 15 minutes later. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and guests will be able to purchase a $25 ticket at the door for a plate from Eat My Catfish. A live and silent auction containing various donated items will follow. All proceeds from this event will help fund Arkansas Children’s Heart Institute. The Bradley County chapter and Arkansas Forestry Association invite anyone in the area to join us as we work to help children in the Natural State.
Organized in 1947, the Arkansas Forestry Association is the only private, nonprofit organization representing the entire forestry community in Arkansas. AFA has over 1,200 members who join in AFA’s mission of advocating for the sustainable use and sound stewardship of Arkansas’s forests and related resources to benefit members of the state’s forestry community and all Arkansans today and in the future.
